Ashton's hair is short and more often than not, swept to one side of his face. His hair is a dark brown, almost black, and is styled in a simple mess. He has pale skin with freckles dotted around him, as that's the only kind of tan he'll ever get. His eyes are a rich brown that when you look at them, they seem to suck you in. He stands at 5'10 and weighs 155 pounds. He has a very muscular build and a nice jawline. His shoulders are broad as is his chest. He has somewhat lanky limbs, that are almost always fidgety. He manages to keep a pretty straight face a lot, but when he smiles, it's big and bright. He has scars dotted around his body and he is also usually covered with random bruises from random occurrences.
Ashton's attire of clothing is simple. Either black jeans or sweatpants in the colder seasons, and black or brown cargo shorts in the warmer seasons. In the winter he’ll always have either a black sweatshirt on. He loves his band shirts and will wear them when he's not wearing shirts of neutral colors. Sometimes he’s a good sport and wears his camp shirt, but it's not often. His attire of shoes consists of converse, hunting boots and his trusty sneakers. He always wears his nonna's ring on his necklace chain, as it was given to his mother a few weeks before she died, and now Ashton is in possession of it.
Personality-
Ashton is somewhat shy and more often than not, likes to keep to himself. He can be rude and mean when he's in a bad mood, but he's pretty chill when he's not. He only shows his fun side to those he actually considers friends, which is not a lot of people. He is always fairly sarcastic and will roll his eyes a lot, but he is a very polite boy other than that. Ashton is the kind of guy that everyone has a reason to hate, but also a reason to like. His fatal flaw would be his loyalty. If he says he's with you, or makes a promise, he keeps it that way, and will do it til his dying breath. He will never stab you in the back. Ashton enjoys drawing, well, without color. He also plays chess often, as growing up he didn't really get to have all the cool phones and stuff, but now he's happy he did it, as it made him quite the logical thinker. He can often mistake someone for being horrible when they really aren't. Like if someone were trying to compliment him, he would take it as a sarcastic insult and get mad and rude. He loves to prank some kids, only if they deserve it of course.

History-
Cathy and Hades met when Cathy was at her mother's grave in a cemetery. The women had died of old age, but Cathy would refuse to accept it. She was mourning over the loss and would come by every day at 6 to try and talk to her mother's spirit, even though it had been months since the women died. She would offer sacrifices and prayed to whatever god would listen. One god heard her prayers. Hades took a liking to her devotion to trying to contact the dead and followed her to the graveyard once. He helped her connect with the spirit, if only for a minute, but that was in secret before he approached her. Cathy had told Hades (Hank) about how she couldn't stand family deaths, but this had truly hit her. Cathy didn't know why she told him all of it but she felt the right to, and also confessed that all her hard work paid off and she contacted her mother's spirit. She grew a liking to the broody man, who simply listened, and didn't call her crazy as she had suspected. They clicked and went on a date. And then another. And another. After months of getting to know one another (or somewhat), Cathy jumped to the more serious side of a relationship.
Ashton was born in Chicago, on October 31st, 1998. Hades left shortly after telling her where to take her when the first monster attacks, Cathy had watched him go in a puff of black smoke. But it hadn't affected her as badly as she thought it would. Ashton lived a pretty weird life. With being dyslexic and having ADHD, it made him "Not normal", like all the other kids. He was always the outcast and no one really liked him due to his very unsettling atmospheric presence. It didn't help that his mom was always trying to contact the spirits, believing that the beloved father of her child would help her once more, but not once was Ashton ashamed of his mom. He tried helping her at times, and that would be the only times all the chanting would actually work.
Ashton was a smart kid and a lover of history. He would often go to the retirement home down the street to listen to stories everyone held, and would also play chess with one of the old veterans. He would save up money to purchase books instead of toys and electronics like his fellow classmates would. His favourite place to go to read and get a good meal was an old family owned pizza place. They owners knew his nonna and would give him food on the house, and it was often quiet when he went.
When he was about 11 his first monster came. It attacked him and his mom during a visit to his grandmother's grave, much less visited since Cathy made contact to her mom. Cathy had given Ashton her mother's ring 10 minutes before. He had been so happy, as he could practically feel a part of the old woman's spirit on it. Yet they had to run, and run they did. His mom muttered prayers to the gods and neither looked back. After they got in the car, Cathy took him home to throw together a stuffed duffel bag, before taking him to Camp Halfblood like Hades instructed to do so long ago. The drive was filled with questions, as well as answers. It was the last time he saw his mom. Once he crossed the border and as he approached the horse-man like his mom told him to, everyone stopped talking and looked at him, as if they could feel the presence just like his classmates. He shied away and walked away slowly. It's gotten so much better in the years he's been at camp. He has trained and he has made a few friends. He harnessed lots of control on his powers and has learned that it's okay to be different. He found a watch on one of the Hades beds a month after being claimed, which had been the third month of being there.
Demigod Powers
Necromancy: ability to raise the dead.
-Can call forth the dead of the underworld (Can only call 10 at a time, 20 when he uses an extent amount of power. This will cause him to tire easily if he over uses it. He can create one or two and not be tired)
-Can release souls from spirits of the dead to the Underworld. (Doesn't really use this ever, but if he does, it will cause a drain on his energy)
-Can sense when a mortal or half-blood they know has died (No power, just feels as if there is a large weight dragging him down)
-Can destroy undead skeletons (He can destroy any skeleton, but it depends on the power he uses. The more power, the more tired he becomes)
-Can see/sense peoples life auras. (No power, but he often keeps it to himself when he sees the aura becoming duller)
Umbrakinesis: Manipulation of shadows
-shadowtravel (The farther he travels and the more he does it, the more energy is drained. If he uses to much, he will end up becoming a shadow himself)
Induced Fear Aura - Makes people want to steer clear of him, and have them uncomfortable. Much like Hades's but so much weaker. It can be induced to a stronger degree when something bad happens to him and will most likely have people trying to get as far away from him as possible.
Weapon- A 3 foot Styigon Iron Sword. The mist makes it look like a black watch. All he has to do is touch the place where the number 6 is 3 times and the sword makes its way into his grasp.
Pet - A hellhound puppy that he found while on border patrol. He came up with the name Baldovino which means brave friend. He calls him Baldo for short. The hound usually takes form as a Tibetan Mastiff when he is not in battle. If Ashton tells him to attack, he turns into a wolf with beady red eyes and leaves a trail of fire. (Nothing catches unless the hound makes it. Which is on Ashtons's command.)
Baldo is only around a year old but he is very protective and will always be at Ashton's side. In sleep, Baldo curls up on his bed and Ash uses him as a heater and pillow. Very sweet if you give him food and scratch his ear, but vicious when it comes to battle. Loyal, and listens to Ashton's commands. He will not listen to anyone else but him. (Such a connection due to the fact Ashton is a son of Hades)
